TehChahlesh. All Rieus music is recognizable. All the music he plays are the well known parts,you know the parts that people know and recognize. He cut out all the boring bits in-between. A real breath of fresh air to listen too.

as i can see from your youtube name you know good music... i totally understand what you mean! rieu is like a little always-smiling boy who got a violin from his parents for his 7th birthday and thinks he can do great art now! i don't understand why anybody goes to such concerts when they could also see a real orchestra with real musicians and a real conductor...

Without public... all music sucks. Try playing a violin in an empty cave or on a boat at sea... There isn't anything emptier than that.

Can't be bothered to argue about the merits of how classical music should sound or be played = Yawn . Too busy enjoying this glorious piece and that's all that really matters!

Music is a LIVING entity. It is NEVER played the same twice. No two conductors or symphonies will EVER play a piece the same. So the answer is VERY simple. When you find a composer you like, go to their page, listen to their version! DO NOT waste your time on someone you DON'T like! If you don't like Reiu's interpretations, go find someone you do! I'm here because I like Rieu! Be ZEN and surround yourself with that which makes you happy!

silvafedor-I went to Royal College of music + masters in composition.Tehchalish is correct. Rieu cuts up Classical works and makes them into cheap pap with all the original composers' intention destroyed+turned into a Walmart product for making money.Protesting against this does'nt make me a failiure as u imply-it means I have principles + Rieu does not..Also he does'nt keep classics alive!- he actually kills them by sanitising them into clappalong dross.The LA Phil keep classics alive not Rieu.
