@TheMusicCritic1100 low brass have you heard Give us this day??
It's perfect, it's the most beautiful version I ever heard
@papoocanada
Well, Shostakovich himself thought Mr. Bernstein was just fine...(in his Memoirs)
but I guess you are a better conductor?
Maybe just close your eyes and listen and you won't make such dumb comments.
I bet people are not lining up for your next concert.
Star Wars music right there :)
Simply beautiful!
Beautiful music and one of my favorite conductors it cant get much better than this. This song is perfect for those how love to hear the strength in the Bass section in music like do.
wow this sounds like it could be easily played terribly
@erosennin4203 YOU CANNOT OFFEND JB HE IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ASK JEEVES
@hitlerscow lol thanks for ignoring my comment. No need to feel defensive because I didn't offend your idol JB. I never said he was bad. But I never said he was spectacular either.
@erosennin4203 ya right. bieber is a god
@hitlerscow I will bet you any money though, that each one of these musicians within the orchestra has worked at least 5 times harder than Justin Bieber has. To produce music like Bieber's is child's play compared to this. literally. I'm sorry, he does have a nice voice, but he will never be able to manipulate music like shostakovich has.
@cdadams84 justin bieber has worked hard to win the hearts of millions with hard work and persistence. Not
Bernstein looks pist!

37 hearing impared people disliked this video.
@cdadams84
agreed but there are a few exceptions to this.
Gives me chills every time..
Wow. Bernstein is so into it that at 9:33 his button comes undone. Bravo Bernstein!!!
bernstein; il miglior direttore che abbia mai sentito...
@pooflanger hey
i like pop and this stuff

dont be stereotypical hahaha
@cardiffwilly Me too!
just torture to watch the clown Bernstein making a big show as usual........prefer seeing the musicians of the orchestra
@TheMRCUB people who like Shostakovich are penises. One of them.
cockcockcockcockcockcockcockco ckcockcockcockcockcockcockcock cockcockcockcockcockcockcockco ckcockcockcockcockcockcockcock cockcockcock!
I love Shostakovich.
Excellent playing for the most part. The only quibble I have with Bernstein's interpretation of this piece is his all-too-quick finale. Listen to Mravinsky when he conducts this piece and his slower pacing towards the end. Then, you'll hear Bernstein's triumphant finale turn into one whose victory rings hollow. It makes all the difference.
The whole performance, someone--quick! What a master, Bernstein! Even makes Shostakovich sound like music, which so often it is not! |
